【摘要】:ThisInternationalStandarddescribesasystembywhichfineceramics(advancedceramics,advancedtechnicalceramics)(seeclause3)maybeclassified.Thesystemhasbeendevisedtocoveralltypesoffineceramicsintheformofinorganicprecursorsforceramicpowderproduction,powders,granularforms,fibres,whiskers,platelets,singlecrystals,consolidatedpolycrystallineceramics,amorphous(glassy)andcompositematerialsandcomponentsinblock,thinfilmandcoatingforms.Thestructureoftheclassificationiscodedtobemachinereadable.Theclassificationsystemdoesnotcover:a)elementalcarbon,exceptforspecificceramicformssuchasdiamond,vitreouscarbonorchemicalvapourdeposited(CVD)graphite;b)elementalsilicon,elementalgermaniumandotherelementalorcompoundsemi-metallicsubstancesotherthanwhentheyformanintegralcomponentoforprecoursorforfineceramics;c)traditionalceramicsbasedonclay,including:1)whitewares(e.g.tablewareandfineporcelain);2)sanitarywares;3)floorandwalltiles;4)buildingceramics(e.g.bricksandpipes);d)unshapedandshapedrefractoriesfortonnageapplications.ThisInternationalStandarddoesnotspecificallycoverhardmetal(cementedcarbide)products,orproductswhicharemainlyglassy,butthesystemcan,inprinciple,beextendedtocoversuchproducts.Itsmodeofusewillbedeterminedbytheobjectivebehinditsuse.ItisnotthepurposeofthisInternationalStandardtodefinehowthesystemshallbeused,butexamplesaregivenofhowitmightbeused.Theuserisabletodefinethecodingcombinationandthelevelofdetailtosuitaparticularpurpose.ThisInternationalStandardprovidesonlyaflexibleframeworkandarecommendedinternationalcodingsystemwithinwhichthismightbedone.
